Disciples Women’s Ministries
The Disciples Women’s Ministries provide
opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative
ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility
for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ. Through Disciples
Women sponsored events, women are invited to share the Good News
through: Worship, Bible & Mission Study, Service, Fellowship,
Leadership, and Stewardship.
Here are some photos of the Women’s
Retreat in March 2008.
Disciples Women’s Ministries have two general meetings a year, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. There is a program, a short business meeting, worship, food, and fellowship. The program for the Fall meeting is “What’s In Your Toolbox? Being God’s Equipment.” We have two overnight retreats a year. The Fall retreat is at church where we have fellowship, food, worship/devotion time and work on service projects. The Spring retreat is at Tall Oaks and follows the same format. We currently have three Disciples Women’s circles –
Campbell Circle meets the 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. They enjoy fellowship, devotions, study and a short business meeting. Campbell Circle is involved in several projects:
Georgie Babb Circle meets on the 4th Monday of the month at 1:00 p.m. They have devotions, food, and fellowship. Georgie Babb donates their time to projects around church and serving at Bereavement dinners. Pardee Circle meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30. This is a new circle that began in the fall of 2007, but has big plans for community service and service projects around First Christian Church. |
