Vacation
Bible School starts June 13, 2011 and is 5 nights long.

Each night
there is a dinner from 6:00 to 6:30.

VBS
activities are from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Friday
night is a carnival.

The age
minimum is 3.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
June 14-18, 2010
Times last
year were 5:30 – 8:30.
Dinner was at 5:30.
If you could not be there for dinner
then kids were to be there by 6:00.

Captain Bible Guy

Last year VBS again had a comic
by Dustin Runyon. He wrote for us the Captain Bible Guy comic three
summers ago. Last year we had another Captain Bible Guy
adventure.
The last night of
VBS, June 18, 2010, was our carnival, which began at 6:30 and ended at
8:00. We had ice cream and all the toppings, inflatable(s), activities, and our 3rd annual Cool Whip Fight! |

 Did
you know that God has a plan and that each of us are not only a part of
the plan … we are an INTENTIONAL part of the plan?
During VBS 2009, we found out how we can help God take care
of all creation as we learned about nature, animals, and of course people
through hands on experiences, crafts, games, and more!
Ages 3 through 5th
grade.
There was a light
dinner provided
Monday through Thursday
with a carnival night
beginning at 6:30 PM on Friday night.

happenings during Vacation Bible School at First Christian Church of Olathe
in the years 2008 and 2007.
Pictures from future years will be added to show the various themes for
successive events. Looking at the excitement of those attending
past sessions will encourage attendance at future events to make each
year bigger and better!

Our Superhero for the week was
Captain Bible Guy. Each day there was a comic strip about
his adventures through the bible learning about Super Kids.
The last night there
was an ice cream social and fun. |

VBS 2007 – June 11-15
“Gather Under The Caring Tree” |

 |
|
Vacation
Bible School in 2007 was all about Servants: God’s servants,
local servants, being servants, and Jesus’ servanthood.
Everyone made tie-dye t-shirts and wore them the night of
the carnival. Around 50 children attended VBS. There
was an opening music time, bible stories, crafts and games.
Friday night was the ending carnival. A state patrolman
and fireman were here telling children about what they do,
and showing them their vehicles. |
